چکیده
The present environmental condition indicates the immediate need for sustainable materials containing mainly natural elements composite fabrication. Encouragement of fibers in can significantly reduce greenhouse effect and high cost manufacturing synthetic fiber-based polymer composites. Hence, this study aimed to investigate physio-mechanical properties banana fiber (BF) -based epoxy (EP) composites filled with walnut shell powder (WNP). Fabrication was carried out by mixing cold pressing fixed BF proportion varying percentages WNP (0%, 5%, 10%, 15 wt. %). results obtained suggest mechanical BF/EP were enhanced addition as a filler. This is because filler occupies spaces composite, which bridge gaps between matrix; also, inclusion greatly their wear resistance. microstructural examined scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

MECHANICAL CHARACTERIZATION AND ANALYSIS OF RANDOMLY DISTRIBUTED SHORT BANANA FIBER REINFORCED EPOXY COMPOSITES
Short banana fiber reinforced composites have been prepared in laboratory to determine mechanical properties. It has been observed that as soon as the percentage of the banana fiber increases slightly there is a tremendous increase in ultimate tensile strength, % of strain and young modulus of elasticity. Reinforcement of banana fibers in epoxy resin increases stiffness and decreases damping pr...

Composite pins of rubber dust collected from tyre retreading centres of trucks, cars and buses etc.and epoxy with weight percentages of 10. 15, and 20 % of rubber (weight fractions of 9, 13 and 17 % respectively) have been prepared in house with the help of a split wooden mould. The pins were tested in a pin-on-disc wear monitor to determine the co-efficient of friction and weight losses with v...

متن کاملInfluence of Laminated Textile Structures on Mechanical Performance of NF-Epoxy Composites
Textile structures are engineered and fabricated to meet worldwide structural applications. Nevertheless, research varying textile structure on natural fibre as composite reinforcement was found to be very limited. Most of the research is focusing on short fibre and random discontinuous orientation of the reinforcement structure. Realizing that natural fibre (NF) composite had been widely devel...
